Florida Mortgage and Foreclosure Assistance

Florida H.O.P.E. Task Force
The Florida state government, and Governor Crist, created the H.O.P.E. Task Force to provide as much mortgage and foreclosure help to Florida residents as possible. Florida has been hit arguably harder than any other state in the current housing crisis, and this task force is looking into how to prevent as many foreclosures as possible. The HOPE task force will review and closely analyze mortgage foreclosure data from all Florida cities. After reviewing the data to better learn why foreclosures are occurring, and what can be done to stop them, the group will then provide numerous recommendations on what can be done to minimize the impact that foreclosures have on Florida’s communities and families.

Palm Beach Florida Foreclosure Assistance Center
This is a nationally recognized and acclaimed foreclosure and mortgage assistance program. The assistance center’s primary goal is to provide immediate mortgage help to homeowners in Palm Beach County who are behind on their payments or who need aid. This center is setting an example for the rest of the country on to to provide the most effective foreclosure help.

In some cases, homeowners can be provided a cash grant of up to $10,000 to help them pay their mortgage and bring it current. The Foreclosure Assistance Center will also provide addition aid, such as help unemployed Florida residents find jobs, they will help negotiate existing mortgages with banks and lenders to try to refinance them, and provide budgeting and financial education.

 

 

 

 

Miami Florida and Dade County Loan Mediation Program
Courts in Miami, as well as the local government, are making sure that lenders meet with homeowners before beginning the foreclosure process. Continue.

Home Loan Learning Center-
The home loan learning center will provide homeowners with lenders and servicers contact information. This will allow homeowners to get in contact with the correct people and allow them to ask for mortgage help from the correct parties. In addition, the home learning center in Florida will recommend mortgage counselors that can provide you advice, mortgage and foreclosure assistance, help you negotiation a new loan, or walk you through the refinancing process.

Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) -
The OFR provides tips and advice for how to avoid becoming late on your payments, how to avoid a foreclosure, delinquencies, and they will also provide you with advice on how to be on the lookout for all too common foreclosure rescue scams.
